Chiara Missaggia
FILMMAKER AND PHOTOGRAPHERChiara Missaggia is an Italian filmmaker and photographer, based in Lisbon since 2016.
With an academic background in fine arts, music, multimedia and visual communication, she works as a videographer (editing and directing) in the areas of music, documentary and her own artistic production.

DOCUMENTARY | SHORT FILM Primeiro Cais
PRIMEIRO CAIS (First Dock) portrays the hidden lifestyle of a group of fishermen in Cacilhas, Portugal.
The documentary was filmed along 8 months between 2016 and 2017 and focuses on people’s stories and convivial moments, and on fishing in a salty river.

The short film “Primeiro Cais” entered the official selection of Leiria Film Fest (2020) and Shortcutz Funchal (2021), and was nominated by Cineuphoria in the section Best Documentaries in 2021.
In 2020, her documentary “OFF - Zé Manel exposto” premiered on GQ Portugal.
She has worked with several musicians, among them: Petra Magoni and Ilaria Fantin, MOMO., Zé Manel, Irene Brigitte, Thierry Stremler.
She is the director and editor of the project Bathstage Music.
